Movie's Karaoke Edition

ABBA fans have reason to sing, with a special karaoke edition of the hit film Mamma Mia! about to arrive in Australian cinemas.
Universal Music announced yesterday that "due to overwhelming demand" a sing-a-long version of Mamma Mia! The Movie, with lyrics on screen for each musical number, would be released in theatres so audiences could join in on their favourite ABBA songs. The film, which stars Meryl Streep, Colin Firth and Pierce Brosnan, has earned $27.5 million at the Australian box office since it opened on July 10. More than 3 million Australians have seen the film, which features ABBA classics such as Dancing Queen, SOS and Money, Money, Money. Mamma Mia! The Sing-A-Long Edition arrives in selected cinemas around the country on September 5 for a limited time. Hoyts Erina will show the film, but screenings at a Newcastle cinema have not been confirmed.The film's soundtrack spent five weeks atop the ARIA albums chart, and is now certified platinum.
